Obituary Ella Kathryn Allbritton, 68, of Washington, IL, died at 4:35 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. Born on January 29, 1945 in Jasper, AL to Charles C. and Josephine Gaddy Wright, she married Joseph C. Allbritton on April 19, 1964 in Creve Coeur, IL. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1998. Surviving are 2 sons, Jeff M. Allbritton and Daniel C. (Laurie) Allbritton, both of East Peoria, her mother, Josephine Wright of Mobile, AL, 1 sister, Charlene (David) Brodt of Washington, IL, 1 brother, Cecil J. Wright of Mobile, AL, 1 granddaughter, Melissa Del Rio of Decatur, IL, 2 nephews, and 1 great-niece. She was preceded in death by her father. Beginning as an LPN, Ella worked to become a Nursing Home Administrator, where she worked in various nursing homes in the Peoria area, and made numerous life-long friendships. She was an active member and Past Secretary of the Better Breathers Club and was a faithful member of Beverly Manor Baptist Church as long as her health allowed her to go. She also was an avid gardener, known for her beautiful flower gardens. Services for Ella will be at 1 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Mike McCoskey will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 am-1 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
