Obituary
Elizabeth Greve Bunch, 89, of Washington, formerly of Peoria, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Washington Christian Village, Washington, IL.
Elizabeth was born September 17, 1924 in Ludlow, Massachusetts to Horace and Ruth Smith Laird. She married John Greve in 1951, and later married Ralph Bunch in 1976 in Kansas City, MO.
They both preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Sheryl (David) Krohne of Spokane, WA and Patricia Greve of East Peoria; her son Steven Greve (Alison) of Regina, Sk, Canada; her grandchildren, Christian Gustafson, Matthew Greve, and Carolyn Greve; nephew, Karl (Di) Harbstreet of Urich, MO; and sister-in-law, Marie Fraser of Davenport, IA.
Elizabeth graduated from high school in Massachusetts before attending Kendall College where she graduated with an Associate in Arts Degree in June, 1951. After marriage to John, Elizabeth spent the early part of her married life looking after three rambunctious children. Later, she was a seamstress and master tailor as well as an interior designer. Before relocating to Peoria, she served as a supervisor at a Sheltered Work Shop in Kansas City, MO. She was active at First United Methodist Church in Peoria, and enjoyed their Harvesters Sunday School class. She enjoyed all types of arts and crafts, travelling and dancing.
Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. No services are scheduled and inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park in Rock Island.
