Obituary EAST PEORIA- Elinor V. Steidinger, 89, of East Peoria, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center at Riverview She was born on May 24, 1926 in Strawn, IL to Clarence and Florence Hinton Kessler. She married Weldon R. Steidinger on June 13, 1948 in Forrest, IL. He passed away on October 3, 1989 in Peoria She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Betty) Kessler of White Heath; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Beals of Forrest; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Lois Myers. Elinor worked at Caterpillar in Morton for 37 years in data processing. She retired on July 1, 1981. She was of the Methodist faith. She always enjoyed socializing over a game of Bingo. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. There will be a funeral service for Elinor on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 1:00PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Phillip Icenogle will officiate. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service, from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forrest Township Cemetery in Forrest, IL at 3:30PM on Thursday, following the service.
