Obituary EAST PEORIA- Eileen Tonkin, 71, of East Peoria, died at 5:37 PM on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Morton Terrace with her family by her side. Born on October 2, 1936, she married Jack Tonkin and later Clarence Durbin who was the love of her life. Eileen will be greatly missed by her daughter Gayle (Dave) Leathers of Peoria and son Mark Tonkin of East Peoria, also 2 grandchildren, Joshua Nolan and Gregory Leathers, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, John (Kathy) Nedding of Pekin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Daily. Eileen was owner and operator of Eileen's Beauty Shop for over 45 years. Eileen was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Peoria. The family invites you to attend a funeral service for Eileen at 10 AM on Saturday April 26 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Richard Springsteen will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, April 25 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Memorials may be made to her church.
