Obituary Edwin "Ted" Arnold Spragg, 68, of East Peoria, passed away at 12:50am Sunday, September 20, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Ted was born January 7, 1947 in Alpena, MI to the late Warren C. Spragg, Sr. and Alma Black Spragg. He married LaDonna L. Pope on April 19, 1975 in Quincy, MI she survives. Also surviving are their children, Mark (Becky) Spragg of Plainfield, IL, Danell (Bryson) Slutz of Peoria, IL and Bryan (Tiffany) Spragg of East Peoria, IL; 11 beautiful grandchildren, Natalie, Chloe, Sarah, Jonah, Emily, Rebekah, Josiah, Joshua, Raylan, Isaac, and Samuel; brothers, Warren (Nancy) of Weidman, MI, James (Patricia) of Lake City, MI, Wayne (Barbara) of Rochester Hills, MI, and Michael (Jackie) of Alpena, MI; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ted was Class A State wrestling champion for Alpena High School in 1965. He went on to wrestle for University of Wisconsin-Superior. He played football for Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI and graduated with his Bachelor's degree in 1970. He worked for 30 years in food service for companies including Big Boy restaurants and Marriott Food Services, and most recently, OSF Food Services. He was on the board at Heartland Community Health Clinics and was a member at Richwoods Christian Church, where he served many years as the lead of the hospitality ministry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. A memorial service for Ted will be held at 11:30am Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Richwoods Christian Church-Knoxville Campus. Visitation with be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Girard, MI. Pastor Marty Hunt will officiate. The family will receive guests from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Comfort Inn, 1000 Orleans Blvd, Coldwater, MI.
