Obituary MORTON- Edwin "Bus" L. Potter, 86, of Morton passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 1:10 A.M. at Heartland Health Care Center at Riverview in East Peoria. Edwin was born on January 23, 1930 in East Peoria to Homer and Edna Moushon Potter. He is survived by his three children, Raymond Potter of Merritt Island, FL, Beverly (Eric) Rogers of Pekin, and Phyllis Moore of Benson; the mother of his children, Lilah (Ron) Bright of Tremont; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna Mae Curtis and Joann Pedigo, both of East Peoria. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Edwin J. Potter; grandson, Shane Kensinger; two brothers and five sisters. He was employed and retired with Caterpillar in East Peoria, working as a painter. Edwin proudly served his country as a sergeant, working as a paramedic, in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved watching NASCAR, and enjoyed stock car racing with his son, Raymond years ago. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. A memorial service for Edwin will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service, from 5:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Inurment will be on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
