Obituary EAST PEORIA - Edna L. Rhodes, 94, formerly of East Peoria, IL died at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Geneseo, IL. Born on April 18, 1917 in Fillmore, IL to Jacob and Nellie Cress Graham, she married William L. Rhodes Sr. on February 9, 1938 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death in August of 2000 in East Peoria. Surviving are 1 son, William L. Rhodes Jr. of East Peoria, IL, 3 daughters, Phyllis (Russell) Avery of New Windsor, IL, Joyce Steele of Peoria, IL, and Doris Collins of Ava, MO, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, Lois Cranford, 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 6 sisters. Edna was a faithful member of Richland Southern Baptist Church in East Peoria. Services for Edna will be at 12 noon on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, IL. Pastor Gary England will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
