Edna L. Ozella, 100, of Peoria, formerly of Washington, passed away at 5:30am Friday, October 12, 2018 at Heddington Oaks in Peoria. She was born November 27, 1917 in Bourbon, IL to William and Alma Busby Mullis. She married Louis A. Ozella on December 4, 1938 in Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1972. Surviving are her children, Delores Berg of East Peoria and Tony (Pat) Ozella of Washington; grandchildren, Rhonda (Todd) Haller, Andy (Stacy) Berg, Jennifer (John) Gibson, and Scott (Ezzy) Ozella; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers, and her parents. Edna worked for many years as a store clerk at Block and Kuhl, later Carsons, in Peoria. Over the years she was a member of St. Monica and St. Patrick Parishes. A private family service will be held. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Father Johnathan Steffen will officiate. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
