Obituary East Peoria - Edna Rose DeMoss, 79 of East Peoria, died Monday August 15, 2011 at 8:20 PM at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. She was born March 9, 1932 in East Peoria to George and Rose Mariner Hutt. She married John DeLisle in Peoria. Later she was married to Finney Berry in Peoria. He preceded her in death. She then married Al DeMoss in Peoria on October 20, 2000. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one daughter Rebecca Sue Wilson, and one grandson Michael Clayton Wilson. She is survived by two sons, John DeLisle of Galveston, Texas and Jason Berry of East Peoria, two sisters Sharon (Glenn) Rauh and Bonnie (Don) Strieder both of Metamora, one granddaughter Krishauna Lynn (Mike) Bruha of Creve Couer, four nieces and one nephew. Edna owned and operated ACME Pest Control in East Peoria for over 30 years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria, Fraternal Order of Eagles #265 in Peoria, Moose Lodge #916 in Pekin, Peoria Elks Lodge #20 and American Legion Post #979 in Bartonville. She loved animals, especially her cats. In her last days, a visit from one of the family cats brought her great joy. She also enjoyed crocheting. Funeral services for Edna will be at 11:00 AM Friday August 19, 2011 at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria. Rev. Dr. James R. Lillie will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PAWS Animal Shelter or a charity of the donor's choice.
