Obituary EAST PEORIA-Edith M. Wheeler, 91, of East Peoria,IL, formerly of Groveland, died at 5:58 pm Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL. Born on March 24, 1918 in Bee Creek, IL to Jesse and Mima Peacock Ottwell, she married Augustus Allen Wheeler on June 24, 1938 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1972 in Groveland. Surviving are 4 children; Lowell (Sharon) Wheeler of Rockford, Donald (Chris) Wheeler of Groveland, Mary (Tony) Griffin of East Peoria, Mark (Mary) Wheeler of Brimfield;1 brother, Donald (Lois) Ottwell of Payson, AZ; 1 sister, Lucille Zunker of Bourbonais, IL; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson and 9 siblings. Edith was a homemaker. She enjoyed needlework, craftwork, and was a seamstress. She was a member of Morton Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, February 19, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Donald L. Blasing will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton, IL.
