Obituary Edith Marion Shank, 81, of East Peoria, passed away at 10:03 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Unity Point Health Proctor in Peoria. She was born November 20, 1933 in Fulton County, AR to Arthur and Ara Golden Robertson. She married Charles A. Vandiver in September of 1949. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Frank Vandiver; 2 grandsons; 2 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by 4 children, Dennis (Mari) Vandiver of East Peoria, Janie (Bobby Fitzgerald) Vandiver of Brandsville, MO, Velma (Dave) McDaniel of Norcross, GA, Karl Vandiver of Everett, WA; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty VanGordon of MO. Edith worked as a welder at Komatsu/Dresser before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Boilermakers Union. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice. Edith's Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, with Rev. Steve Weber officiating.
