Edith J. Rinkenberger, 82, of Lacon, passed away at 11:52 am Saturday, June 5, 2021 at River Crossing of Peoria. She was born April 10, 1939 in Lacon to Herman and Josephine Keedy Long. She married Duane K. Rinkenberger on April 10, 1959. He preceded her in death in 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roderick and Dale Long; one sister, Linda Long. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Contoni; two grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Wilson, Brian Allen Wilson; and one sister, Barb (Harold) Walden. Edith worked at Club Lacon for 15 years, and then worked at the First National Bank of Lacon for 30 years before retiring. She and her late husband enjoyed playing bingo locally and in Las Vegas. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
