Obituary WASHINGTON - Ed Crotts, 80, of Washington, IL died at 4:47 pm Friday, December 1, 2006 at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1926 in Viola, Arkansas to Grover Cleveland and Melinda Spurlock Crotts. He was a devoted husband to Vera Vivian Johnston, whom he married on October 11, 1950 in Viola, Arkansas. She survives. Ed was also a devoted father and is survived by 3 sons, Keith Crotts of Rushville, IL, Dale (Laura) Crotts and Gary Crotts, both of Washington, IL, and 1 daughter, Julie Crotts of Washington, IL, 3 sisters Dorothy Roberts of Viola, Arkansas, Della Minge of Bakersfield, MO, and Drucilla (Mike) Tiliakos of Lakeland, FL. Ed was also a fun loving grandpa to his 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Peggy and 3 brothers. He was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII. He was a friend to all who knew him, and exemplified Christ in his daily life. He worked as a Machine Repairman at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He also was a member of Faith Christian Centre in Washington and enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening. He will be greatly missed. Eds funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Faith Christian Centre in Washington. Pastor Rick Brisbin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, December 4, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
