Duane W. Helmuth, 76, of Washington, passed away at 10:32am Friday, April 1, 2022 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born November 1, 1945 in Washington, IL to William and Nellie Wagner Helmuth.

Surviving are two sons, Mark (Leigh) Helmuth and Stephen (Julie) Helmuth; three grandchildren, Margaret, Jesse, and Maridith Helmuth.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ardith Nofziger.

Duane was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran.  He loved spending time in Florida, vintage cars, Harley Davidson's and being with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, from 10 to 11am at the funeral home.
