Dorothy W. Kenagy, 74, of Morton, passed away at 10:36 am Thursday, December 24, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born August 7, 1946 to the late Russel and Lois Mosley Stamm. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kristin Hunt on March 13, 2018; and one sister, Deon Coovert. Surviving are one daughter, Shelby (Joe) Sweeney of Eureka; three grandchildren, Hadrian (Kelsey) Fahnestöck-Kenagy, Alex and Katie Sweeney; and one brother, Gary (Nancee) Stamm of Smithfield. Dorothy worked as a nail technician for over 26 years, most recently at Studio 150 in East Peoria. She was a fun-loving friend to all her clients and salon colleagues. She was talented in most creative arts, including quilting, sewing and embroidery. She loved to cook for friends and family, root for the KC Chiefs and listen to the band Queen. She was a loving mother and Nana who would do anything for her daughters and grandchildren. She will be remembered and missed by her family, friends and her mischievous kitten Magic. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a memorial fund for Dorothy at CEFCU.
