Obituary
Doris Troyer, 77, of Washington passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at her residence.
Doris was born on May 20, 1938 in Ottawa to Harry and Madeline Meaney Berkley. She married Ray Troyer on November 3, 1956 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1987 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and two sisters.
She is survived by her five children, Pam Hill, Tim Troyer, Dennis M. (Marla) Troyer, Patti (Jeff) Goodin, and Tracey (Dennis) Canterbury, all of Washington; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Jacob, Aaron, Bobby, Amanda, Tyler, Tanya, Brandon and Brooke; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Abbe, Devlin, and Autumn; one sister, Gloria (Joe) Boone of Noblesville, IN and one brother, Butch (Cheri) Hackler of Ottawa.
Doris worked for many years at Butternut Bread Store in Sunnyland and was commonly recognized as "the lady from the bread store".
She loved spending time at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria, reading, and watching "her shows". Above all else, spending time with her family was most important to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
A private gathering will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
