Doris R. Higgins, 88 of Browns Valley, CA, formerly of Washington, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Doris was born on September 23, 1932 in Peoria, IL to Raymond and Mary Trapp. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin "Joe" Higgins, after 62 years of marriage. She leaves behind three sons; Daniel Higgins, Scott Higgins and Adam (Teri) Higgins all of Browns Valley, CA; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild yet to be born; brothers Don Trapp of Sun City, AZ and Raymond Trapp of Washington; two sisters, Barbara Holeton of West Bend, WI and Mary Schaffner of Pekin. She is also preceded in death by her son, Steven Higgins and a sister, Kathleen Donahue. Throughout her life, Doris never wavered in her faith in God. She loved her family dearly and the simple things in life. A private funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
