Obituary East Peoria- Doris Ilene Brown, 81, of Ridgedale, MO, formerly of East Peoria, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR. She was born April 30, 1929 to Lloyd and Lois (Green) Shallenberger in Decatur, Illinois. She married William Eugene Brown on Christmas Day in 1948 at her parents home in East Peoria, IL. He survives in Ridgedale. Also surviving are 2 sons, Ronald Eugene (Carolyn) Brown of Bartonville, IL and Roby Gene (Lisa) Brown of Omaha, AR; 2 daughters, Cynthia Jo (Brian) Pettow of New York Mills, MN and Lorri Le Brown (Patricia Truckenbrod) of Ridgedale, MO; a brother, Kenneth Lee (Nancy) Shallenberger of Edwards, IL; 9 grandchildren Birch, Andy, Brian Jr, Matt, Sean, Amie, Melanie, Morgan, McKenzie; 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Tinkerbell. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Donald Shallenberger and 1 nephew, Steve Shallenberger. Doris was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of East Peoria. She enjoyed a career with the IL Department of Human Services as a Case Worker and in her free time, she loved sewing, crafting, tending to her garden and spending time with her family.
