Donald "Donnie" James Schlipf, 61, of Washington, passed away at 7:00pm Monday April 18, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Schlipf; mother, Jean Alder; and stepfather, Phil Alder.

Surviving is his son, Derek (Michelle) Schlipf; his grandkids, Avalyn, Mckenzie, and Connor; stepson, Shawn Pankow; siblings, Pam (Mark) Reinhold and Tonya (Tim) Smith; and nephews, Josh, Cody, Tyler, Harley, Shaun, and Gabe.

Donnie was born December 17, 1960 in Peoria and was a graduate of Washington Community High School. Donnie was a hardworking man and spent over 20 years at IDOT as a Highway Maintainer. He was a fierce advocate for military veterans, helping any way he could. He loved the outdoors, horses, riding motorcycles, visiting family in Florida, and his little dog, Archie.

He will be deeply missed by all that loved him. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
