Obituary Donna L. Underwood, 87, of Washington, IL, died at 6:01 am Friday, November 3, 2017 at Grand View in Peoria. She was born May 3, 1930 in Decatur, IN to Clem and Edith Kortenber. She was a graduate of Indiana University and worked as a medical technologist in Chicago. She married Dr. Robert Underwood in 1956. He preceded her in death along with her parents. She moved to Rio Rancho, N.M. in 1979. She was a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque for more than 30 years and an avid dog mom of Yorkshire terriers. She moved to Washington, IL, in 2013 and lived at Morningside of Washington. Surviving is her daughter, Joyce (Bob) Hunnicutt of Washington. The family thanks the staffs of Morningside in Washington and Grand View in Peoria for their care of Donna. Services will be in New Mexico at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
