Obituary
Donna June Oselka, age 81, died at 7:22 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Peoria, IL of COPD. She lived at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL, formerly of Countryside, IL for 56 years.
Donna was born April 21, 1933, to Percy and Madlyn Horne in Kenosha, WI. She went to school in Kenosha, but later moved to Chicago where she attended high school. After high school her family moved to Pitchin, OH. On August 30, 1954 she married Milan Oselka and moved to Countryside, IL.
Donna was a freelance horn player and teacher. She played for over 50 years with the West Suburban Symphony and West Suburban Band in LaGrange, IL. Donna also played for the Downers Grove Oratorio Society, Naperville Band, Downers Grove Players, Christ Church Brass, and was a member of the Brass Nickel Quintet. She moved to Metamora in 2010, where she played with the Peoria Heights Band and Peoria Senior Band.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Madlyn Horne; brother, Robert Horne; sisters, Bonnie Horne and Georgialee Arthur; and daughter, Traci. She is survived by her husband, Milan; daughters, Dawn (Dave) Clark and Deena (Kevin) Skaja; granddaughters, Jennifer, Laurie, Erin, Kaitlin and Olivia; grandsons, Lewis and Levi; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sharon (Danny) Hartman.

Donna's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, IL with Rev. Mark Westman officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
