Obituary EAST PEORIA-Donna G. Hite, 71, of East Peoria, IL, died at 11:45 AM Monday, July 15, 2013 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born on June 16, 1942 in Iuka, IL to Raymond and Grace Linder Wilfong, she married Denny Geiler in 1959 in Iuka. Surviving are 5 children, Tony (Carol) Geiler of Odin, Kevin (Kelly) Geiler of East Peoria, Steve Geiler (Patti Meyer) of Hanna City, Lori Geiler of Tucson, AZ, and Bethany Geiler of Creve Coeur; 1 brother, Thomas Wilfong of Iuka; 1 sister, Vicki Hilmes of Breese; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Susan. Donna owned and operated Five Points Bar in Pekin for 5 years and worked as a waitress at Lums and Jumers. She also worked in home health care for several years as a caregiver. Donna was of the Christian faith. She was a lifelong Cubs fan and a devoted Chicago sports fan. Donna enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and grandkids. Funeral Services will be 5 PM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor David Coyle will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
