Obituary GROVELAND - Donna M. Hess, 63, of 3 Valley View Ct., Groveland, died at 12:47 am Saturday, January 27, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on September 1, 1943 in Peoria, IL to Donald W. and Esther M. Schooley Driskell, she married Kenneth F. Hess on July 27, 1963 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her mother, Esther Driskell of Lacon, IL, 2 sons Andrew Hess of Germantown Hills, IL and Tobin Hess of Sugar Grove, IL, and 1 sister, Sue (Sam) Sylvester of Washington, IL. She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents. She worked as a Service Representative at the Social Security Administration in Pekin, retiring on May 3, 2005. Many years ago, she also worked at the Peoria Journal Star as a tour guide. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially on cruises. She also enjoyed shopping and time spent with her family. Services will be at 6 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. O. Wayne Shelkson will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services, from 4-6 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to the Washington Community High School Band program.
