Obituary EAST PEORIA- Donna Grotz, 80, of East Peoria passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 12:40P.M. at UnityPoint Health- Proctor in Peoria. Donna was born on December 2, 1934 in Bath to George and Freda Groff Woodard. She married Henry Grotz in Peoria on May 15, 1964. He preceded her in death in July of 1997 in East Peoria. She is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen and Sharron; and brother, Gerry. Donna is survived by her children, Kim (Steve) Lawson of Newport, TN, Michelle (Troy) Franklin of Creve Coeur, Don Grotz of Quincy, and Connie Gallamore of Morton; seven grandchildren, Sherry, Dale, Erin, T.J., Nick, Sean, and Trevor and her special "granddaughter" whom she loved like famiy, Tori Anderson and "great-grandchildren", McKenlee and Kyson; eleven great-grandchildren, Rachael, Jasper, Elena, Ty, Emma, Tucker, Rachael, Jasper, Bobby, Nick, and Kate; one brother, Garry (Linda) Woodard; one brother-in-law, Melvin (Nedra) Grotz; two sister-in-laws, Marilyn Grotz and Neva Reinking; her lifelong best friend, MaryAnn Donahue; and several nieces and nephews. Donna spent the majority of her life as a devoted and loving homemaker. Her family was most important to her throughout her entire life. She will be dearly missed. She was a skilled seamstress who loved to make quilts and craft in her free time. She was also a great cook. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Midwest Affiliate. In lieu of services, the family asks everyone to remember Donna for her sweet smile. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
