Donna Beck, 80, of East Peoria, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at OSF Hospice Home in Peoria, surrounded by love.

Born in Peoria, Illinois, Donna was the cherished daughter of Russell O. Dixon and Pauline L. Skiles. She married Larry Eugene Beck on March 13, 1971, and together they built a life filled with love for their children.

Donna is survived by her son, Brett Beck of Burlington, Iowa; her daughter, Vanessa Horton and her husband (Larry Horton) of Washington, Illinois; and her beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Lily D'Amico, both of Washington. She also leaves behind her cousin, Sharon Hamilton, and a close-knit group of lifelong friends.

A respected leader and mentor, Donna served as Director of Human Resources at Methodist Medical Center for over 20 years. Her career was marked by excellence, compassion, and a deep commitment to the well-being of others. Even in retirement, she continued to be a guiding light to many who sought her wisdom and encouragement.

Donna's heart for service extended beyond her professional life. She served on several community boards in Peoria, always striving to uplift others and make a meaningful impact.

Her greatest joy was her family. She instilled in them the values of hard work, faith, kindness, and resilience. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren-sharing stories, playing games, and nurturing their spiritual growth.

Donna also found joy in the company of her dear friends, affectionately known as the "Golden Girls." Their regular dinners were filled with laughter, memories, and the kind of friendship that endures through the years.  Her legacy of strength, grace, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Donna on Wednesday, October 1st at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm.

Burial will take place at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Illinois Young Life, in honor of Donna's lifelong commitment to faith and her granddaughter's passion for Young Life.
