Obituary DEER CREEK--Donald R. Weeks, 68, formerly of Deer Creek, died at 5:15 PM, on Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Morton. He was born on August 25, 1937 in West Plains, Missouri to John A. and Mary Hust Weeks. He married Janice L. Connelly on February 21, 1958 in Wichita, KS. She preceded him in death on January 11, 2003, in Peoria. Surviving are 3 sons, Steven (Carla) Weeks of Deer Creek, IL, Raymond (Lori) Weeks of Washington, IL, and Trenton (Rachel) Weeks of El Paso, TX; 2 daughters, Carrie (Greg) Amstutz of Morton, IL, and Carla (Doug) Sluser of Bartonville, IL; 2 brothers, James (Kathy) Weeks of Forsythe, MO, and Lou (Lee) Weeks of Melbourne, FL; 3 sisters, Phyllis (Joe) Moss of Seattle, WA, Norma (Jack) Luckett of Forsythe, MO, and Helen (Doyle) Northam of Forsythe, MO; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Weeks and 2 sisters, Beverly Harvey and Gladys Gray. He was the owner and operator of Weeks Carpet Service, where he worked for 40 years. He enjoyed bowling in the Christian Center Bowling League. He was a member of Highview Church of God in Washington, where he served on many committees. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 31, 2006 at Highview Church of God. The Rev. Richard L. Fitzwater will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2006, at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton, IL.
