Obituary Donald R. Roth, 87, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 1:08 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria. He was born May 24, 1927 in Metamora, IL to Michael A. and Gertrude Dubois Roth Jr. They both preceded him in death along with his sister, Marguerite Wallace. Surviving is his sister, Dorothy Roth of Metamora; and a number of cousins and very good friends, especially the Dave Elbert family. Donald was a farmer and dairy farmer in rural Metamora his whole life, and was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in Germany. He enjoyed being an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington for most of his life where he was a money counter on the 2nd Sunday of every month. A Funeral Mass for Donald will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. There will be a visitation one hour before Mass on Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Washington Christian Village.
