Obituary WASHINGTON - Donald C. Ogborn, 81, of Avon, IL and formerly of Washington, IL, died at 9:49 pm Friday, August 29, 2008 at his home. Born on March 28, 1927 in Bush, IL to Bert and Della Ballard Ogborn, he married Joann Craig on December 31, 1975 in Peoria, IL. She died on November 2, 2000 in Washington, IL. Surviving is 1 daughter, Donna Ogborn of Jefferson City, MO. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Don was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for WABCO, Dresser Industries and Komatsu in Peoria for over 28 years, retiring as a Foreman. Services for Don will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Steve Hardin will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 1:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton, IL.
