Dolores Belle Simpson, 92, of East Peoria, passed away August 4, 2023 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.

She was born September 6, 1930 in Peoria to the late Charles and Evelyn (Roos) Watkins.  She married Donald Simpson in 1979.  He preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lynette Cauley.

Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Monday; son, Tom Mote; two grandchildren, Misty Zeone, Jesse Monday; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Dolores worked at Kroger and AAA Auto Club before retiring.  She loved spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A graveside service will be held at 10am Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TAPS No Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin.
