Obituary

Obituary Dolores Elaine Fratzke, 87, of Morton, formerly of East Peoria, passed away and went home to the Lord surrounded by her loving family and pastor at 2:40pm, Sunday September 13, 2015 at UnityPoint Methodist in Peoria. Dolores was born October 21, 1927 in East Peoria to the late Herman Henry and Martha Frieda Agnes Schoedel Hersemann. She married Lawrence F. Fratzke June 20, 1948 in East Peoria; he passed away October 26, 2013 after 65 years of marriage to Dolores. Surviving are their children, Ron (Lynda) Fratzke of Greenwood, IN and Jayne (Kerry) Henneberg of Morton; 6 grandchildren, Justin (Quin) Fratzke, Gregory (Madison) Fratzke, Brad (Lyndsay) Bloomfield, Paige Smillie, Brett (Christine) Henneberg, and Bryce Henneberg; 5 great-grandchildren, Evan, Ella, Connor, Logan, and Claire. Dolores was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria, where she was part of the Women's Guild. There she was baptized, confirmed, and met her future husband and then was married to him. She worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. prior to becoming a full time homemaker. Dolores enjoyed her volunteer work with East Peoria Festival of Lights and Central Illinois Memorial Kidney Fund. She was active in the community as a member of the East Peoria Women's Club, University of Illinois Home Extension, and Springfield Road Club 16 Ladies' Pinochle Club since 1948. Dolores enjoyed entertaining her friends and family as well as spending time trout fishing and vacationing in Branson, MO. Her faith and family were most important to her. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A funeral service for Dolores will be held at 10:00am, Thursday September 17, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm, Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
