Obituary

Obituary Dianne R. Anschuetz, 71, of Peoria passed away at 12:05pm Sunday, March 11, 2018 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Dianne was born July 10, 1946 in Lexington, MI to the late Raymond W. and Annie M. (Jackson) Stapleton. She married Ronald J. Anschuetz on April 10, 1971 in Peoria. Surviving is her husband and best friend, Ron of Peoria; son, Michael (Jennifer) Anschuetz of Washington; grandchildren, Evelyn Rae and John Cooper; sister, Donna (Robert) Howell of Canton; close friends, Ann Murdock and Randy Jackson; and her nieces and nephew. Dianne retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 30 years of service as a telecommunications analyst. She was also a member of First Christian Church in Peoria. In her high school days, she was active in chorus and band as a majorette. She also was the Honor Queen of Job's Daughters and won awards for cooking through 4H. Having a strong work ethic and cooking for her family (which she loved to do) were important values her mother instilled in her. Dianne and her husband owned and restored many Corvettes over the years and many memories were made because of those cars. Her most important title was being "Maga" to her grandkids. She cherished every minute she had as their loving grandmother. Her family would like to thank all those that supported her during her brief illness, including those that came to visit, Dr. Aaron Boyer, and the staff at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. A funeral service for Dianne will be held at 11:00am Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Rev. Karen Merrick will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
