Diane L. Buckingham, 73, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 7:52am, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born February 27, 1950 in Peoria to the late Edna F. (Knoche) and Henry J. Picton, Jr. She married Terry Buckingham on January 17, 1970 in Washington; he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Tammy (Mike) Dalton, Todd (Melissa) Buckingham, and Tara (Mark) Diver; her grandchildren, Nic, Devyn, Grayson, Adalynn, Zachary, Caleb, Joshua, Noah, and Nathan; her great-granddaughter Marley; and her Yorkie, Sophie.

She was also preceded in death by her son Troy, and her siblings, Marilyn and Wayne.

Diane worked many years as a bookkeeper at the Sears Accounting Center in East Peoria, a job she enjoyed very much. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, but her favorite baseball team was the one any of her grandsons were on. She loved making it to their games and watching them play. She loved to fish and enjoyed family trips to Canada.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
