Obituary Washington - Diana J. Maloy, 72, of Washington, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria suddenly from a stroke. She was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Peoria to James Russell and Vivian Mary (Harper) Brown. Surviving is her mother, Vivian Garwood; life partner, Scottie Mitchell; 5 children, Ricky McMahon, Nick (Mary) McMahon, Shelly Casper, Kelly (Mike) Dixon, Kandy (Trent) Goughnour; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, and son, James Clifford McMahon. Diana was a sheet metal worker at Champion Furnace Pipe in Peoria from 1967 until she retired in 2007. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to CreatiVets at 1040 Lake Shore Dr. 9A, Chicago, IL 60611. Cremation rites have been accorded. Family will receive friends to celebrate her life on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Vietnam Veterans of Illinois (The Bunker) in Washington. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of her arrangements.
