Obituary
Devin Reilly Little, 14, of Metamora, passed away at his home at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
He was born June 6, 2001 in Springfield, IL to Heather Little. He is survived by his parents, Heather Little and Scott Wood; siblings, Taylor Little, Addisyn and Ayshton Wood; grandparents, Tom and Lori Little; uncle, Mitchell Little (Tera Antonacci); aunt, Rachel Cook (Scott Cook) and cousins, Jude and Gracie Henrikson; Zac, Brittany, Andrew, MacKenzie, and Chelsea Cook.
Devin was in the 8th grade at Metamora Grade School where he participated in JFL, wrestling, track and chorus. His love of football ran deep, and he wore his #57 with pride every time he hit the field. He attended many games to cheer on the Fighting Irish with his family, and those experiences inspired him to want to attend the University of Notre Dame for college. Devin loved people, he never knew a stranger and would be the first to speak to anyone, especially a fellow fisherman standing down shore. Integral to his spirit and soul was his church and his camp. Devin attended Camp Ondessonk yearly and was inducted with honors into Lodge in 2015. Devin was a very active member of Christian Union Church and Elevate Youth Group, and recently completed a mission trip to Indianapolis. He loved Christ and we were proud to watch him grow and learn to have a servant's heart.
Devin leaves behind a legacy of laughter, a love of video gaming, ridiculous videos, and a family who will never be the same.
Visitation was Friday, April 22, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. His funeral service was held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Christian Union Church in Metamora with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Burial was at St Mary's Cemetery in Metamora.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christian Union Church Elevate Youth Group in Metamora, or to Camp Ondessonk of Ozark, IL.
