Obituary Dennis "Denny" Martin, 66, of East Peoria, passed away at 8:01 am Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 13, 1951 in Peoria to Norris and Berneice Landwehr Martin. He married Wendy L. DeBolt in Peoria on June 24, 1978. She survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Natalie (Jay) Wendelin of Pekin; Leslie Martin and Tim Peters of Chillicothe; 2 grandchildren, Rex and Ali Jayne Wendelin; and his faithful dog, Schwartz. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Voss. Denny worked at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 2000 after 30 years of service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan, and loved to travel in their RV and ride his Harley Davidson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Center of Peoria or T.A.P.S. Animal Shelter in South Pekin. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Denny's Life will be from 2 to 4 pm Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
