Obituary

Delores Wagstaff, 86, of Washington, passed away at 10:20pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at her home in Washington.

Delores was born September 15, 1935 in Prenter, WV to the late Clyde and Eve Woodrum Bowe. She was married to Gerald K. Wagstaff, Sr. in 1958, until their separation in 1973.

Surviving is one son, Keith (Lea) Wagstaff of Washington; her brother, Richard Bowe; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Wagstaff; granddaughter, Heather Marie Wagstaff; seven siblings, Clyde, Elmer, Rosie, Marie, Cindy, Linda, and Lucille; and several nieces and nephews.

Delores was a registered nurse, working at Methodist for 35 years until her retirement. She was a Cubs superfan, second only to her devoted fellowship with Jesus. She was a faithful member of Summit Nazarene Church for many years and enjoyed bowling in various leagues. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished her role in their lives.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Farmdale Cemetery in rural Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summit Nazarene Church.
