Obituary EL PASO-Delores Rita "Laura" Johnson, 78, of El Paso, IL formerly of Washington, IL died at 6:54 PM Thursday, March 1, 2012 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Born on September 1, 1933 in Peoria, IL to Francisco (Frank) and Ilean Grecqua Morrone Firmand, she married Walter F. Johnson on March 5, 1955 in Peoria. He survives. Delores was a loving mother and took great pride in being a homemaker for her family including her 3 sons, Kim (Deb) of Washington, Russ (Jennifer) of Emden, and Glen (Linda) of Washington. Also surviving are 5 brothers, Alfred (Angie) Firmand of Peoria Heights, Louis "Ray" (Deanna) Firmand of Bloomington, Michael Firmand of Germantown, Lido (Carolyn) Firmand of Washington, and Martin (Janice) Firmand of Peoria Heights, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister. Delores was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in El Paso. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral mass will be at 10 AM Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria. Monsignor James Kruse will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to mass at the church. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
