DeMova "Dee" Young, 102, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Reflections Memory Care in Washington.

Dee was born on January 28, 1923 to the late Raymond and Lorena (Schell) Merchant in Kinmundy, IL. She married Howard Young on November 4, 1941 in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by her step father, Emil Troeltzsch; and her son, Greg Young. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Ken) Hall; her grandchildren, Lisa Hall, Chris Hall, and Shane (Katy) Young; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dee was an avid golfer her whole life, and was one of the founders of Timberlake Country Club. She was also a member of the Peoria Women's Golf club for several years. She loved spending

time with her family and friends.

No services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Timberlake Country Club or the ADDWC in Eureka, IL.

Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.
