Deborah "Deb" Heller, 71, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 7:00pm Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at UnityPoint Health Methodist.

She was born in Henderson, TN on July 16, 1951 to Jesse C. Shelton, Sr. and Dorthey Robinson Shelton.

She is survived by her mother, Dorthey Shelton of Washington; her children, Tonya (Ritchie) Higdon of Washington and Steven Heller of Creve Coeur; grandson, Dylan Cox; great-grandson, Riley Cox; and nephews Chad, Sean, and Adam Poore.

She was preceded in death by her dad, and two siblings, Jesse Shelton, Jr. and Patricia Poore.

Deb attended Washington Community High School and worked for Ruppman's (later CDC) for 31 years until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with them. Deb knew no strangers and made friends with everyone she met.

Visitation will be from 2-3:30pm Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A memorial service will follow at 3:30pm Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
