Deanna Anderson, 86, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Deanna was born July 24, 1939 in Pinckneyville, IL to the late Ferdinand and Lottie Hill Thornton. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Anderson, on June 29, 1957

in Pinckneyville and they shared over 68 wonderful years together.

Surviving is her husband, Bob; their children, Cheryl (Joe) Russell of Washington and Tod (Tammy) Anderson of Eureka; her grandchildren, Krista Tippey, Ashley (Curtis) Babbitt, Taylor

(Michael) Urish, Jonathan (Alison) Russell, and Nathan (Kelsey) Russell; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ava Joy, Jeremiah, Caleb; Rileigh, Blaque, and soon to be

born, Walker; as well as her extended family.

Deanna worked in the local real estate industry for many years, and later she and Bob owned and operated American Engineers and Surveyors together until their retirement.

Deanna's favorite jobs by far were being a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, which are her legacy. She was a supportive listener and an example of kind strength and honesty. She was faithful, determined, and always had a story to share.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Washburn Christian Church, where she had been a member. Visitation will be from 9:45am- 10:45am Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
