Obituary Dean A. "Deano" Kellenberger, 57, of Peoria Heights, IL died at 12:40 am Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, IL. He was born on April 16, 1954 in Peoria, IL to Eugene and Velma Kupferschmid Kellenberger and married Linda Fussner on September 20, 1973 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Jason (Melissa) Kellenberger of Texas, Heather Kellenberger of Peoria, IL, and Brent Kellenberger of East Peoria, IL, 3 brothers, Randy (Ruth) Kellenberger of Washington, IL, Ronald (Carole) Kellenberger of Metamora, IL, and Steven Kellenberger of Peoria, IL, 1 sister, Marcia Shirley of Texas, 1 granddaughter, Deidra, 2 step-grandchildren, Kyle and Krista, and best friend and friend of the family, Steve McGarvey. His parents preceded him in death. Dean was a member of the Carpenters Local #183 and a graduate of Peoria High School in 1973, where he played football. He also had worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for many years and enjoyed cooking, and his favorite pastime of fishing. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Washington. Services for Dean will be at 10 am Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Washington. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm Monday, July 11, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
