Obituary CREVE COEUR-Dayton R. "Bob" Meischner, 86, of Creve Coeur, IL died at 1:20 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL. Born on September 7, 1925 in East Peoria, IL to Otto and Laura Sistek Meischner, he married Jacqueline L. Collins on March 21, 1948 in Peoria, IL. Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Jacqueline Meischner of Creve Coeur; 2 daughters, Debbie Meischner of Creve Coeur and Krystal (Brian) Allsup of Peoria; 2 sons, Kevin (Tami) Meischner of East Peoria and Gregory Meischner of Creve Coeur; 4 brothers, Virgil, Garnet, Leonard, and Donald; 1 sister, Lorretta Cox; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Orville, Walt, and Richie; and 2 sisters, Joyce Jackson and Ruby Chapman. Bob graduated from East Peoria Community High School. He worked as a salesman for Tri-Mee Potato Chips for over 20 years, until their closure. Bob then started his own distributorship bringing Frito-Lay and Jay's Potato Chips into the Peoria area for the first time. He enjoyed bowling, camping, golfing, and spending time with his family. Bob's family would like thank the staff at Kindred Hospital Peoria and a special thank you to Pastor Mary Arnold at First United Methodist Church in East Peoria for her kindness and great compassion in their time of need. There will be a memorial service at 2:30 PM Monday, January 30, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in East Peoria. Pastor Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded and private inurnment will be at Secor Cemetery in Secor, IL.
