Obituary David L. Sering, 67, of East Peoria, died at 5:24pm, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Peoria. David was born in Washington on September 24, 1946 to Roland and Doris Helen Zimmerman Sering. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Doris and Bill Miller of East Peoria; his father and step-mother, Roland and Hope Sering of Higden, AR; sister, Diana (Roger) of Dunlap; brothers, Thomas (Cynthia) of Brunswick, GA and Paul (Cynthia) of Port Charlotte, FL; half-brother, Christopher (Linda) of Allen, TX; 7 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews. David graduated from East Peoria High School in 1964, and from Bradley University in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Gunner's Mate. He was currently employed by Precision Air Cargo in East Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded by Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, East Peoria. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
