David Eric Roberts, 72, of Washington, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home.

He was born October 7, 1951 in Peoria, IL to the late Merle David Roberts and Lorraine Delores Ehrich.

Surviving are his children Jennifer Roberts (Washington, IL), David (Sarah Ann) Roberts (Easley, SC), and Sarah Roberts (Chandler, AZ); and grandchildren Kyle Roberts, Ella Roberts, and Evan Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a pharmacist, graduating from Limestone Community High School and the University of Iowa in 1974, and was a lifelong learner. He was an avid cook and woodworker and was always working on a new project. David loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His funny and positive attitude was enjoyed by many.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at 1pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 12 to 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
