Obituary Peoria - David L. Elmore, 77, of Peoria died at 12:03 PM on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 9, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Maurice and Goldie Elmore. He married Betty Lou Smith in 1960. He is survived by two sons; Terry (Violet) Elmore of Washington, Mark (Carolyn) Elmore of Mackinaw, one daughter; Sheila (Steven) Elmore-McCornack of Aurora, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one brother Richard Elmore of East Peoria. He was preceded in death by one step-son James Ray Elmore and his parents. David worked 32 years at Cat in East Peoria as a Final Inspector of Machinery. He last worked in 1984. He was an active member of ABATE and volunteered at Wildlife Prairie Park in Peoria. There will be a funeral service for David on Monday January 28 7PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM prior to the service. Pastor Howard Love will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded.
