Obituary East Peoria - David P. Draper, 61 of East Peoria passed away 5:20 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at his residence. David was born on August 20, 1950 in Peoria, IL to Glen and Naomi (Isbell) Draper . He married Jackie Jackson on June 21, 2003 in Spring Bay, IL. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Jason Draper, Peoria; a daughter, Monica (Chris) Kinsey, Pekin; a step-daughter, Juanita Hamilton, East Peoria; six grandchildren; his mother, Naomi Pollock of Peoria; three brothers, Jerry (Pat) Draper, Donald (Jan) Draper, Glen (Molly) Draper; three sisters, Grace (Jeff) Hartman, Joy Edwards and Mary (Sam) Fraundorf. David was preceded in death by his father, Glen Draper, step-father, John Pollock and a brother, Ronald Draper. David was a Machinist for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 33 years retiring in 2007. He also worked for OSF Medical Center. David served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Puget Sound, USS Grand Canyon and the USS Coral Reef. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Bartonville Community Bible Church, 3826 Chalmers Ave in Bartonville. Pastor Chase Fisher will officiate. Interment will follow in Smithville Cemetery in Hanna City where Military Rites will be accorded by Tazewell Military Rites Team. Visitation will take place at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Additional visitation will take place at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
