David Baker, 65, of Washington, passed away at 1:31pm Thursday, March 31, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born May 27, 1956 in Peoria to the late Harold and Ruth McDade Baker.  He married Sandi Julien in Peoria.  She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Jason (Brittany) Chance, Angie Lathrop, Carrie (Mark) Widmer; four grandchildren, Ryan Widmer, Brandy Lathrop, Nataniah Widmer, Waylon Widmer; one sister, Linda (Gene) Paine; one brother, Hal (Theresa) Baker; two nieces, and eight nephews.

Dave worked at the Par A Dice Casino in East Peoria, retiring in May of 2021.  He was an avid sports fan, loved to fish and spend time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at Bethany Missionary Church in East Peoria at 11am Saturday, April 9, 2022.  Visitation will be from 10:30am to 11am on Saturday at the church prior to the service.  The family would like everyone in attendance at the memorial service to wear jeans to make David smile.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin.
