Daniel Lee "Dan" Street, Age 70, of East Peoria, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Dan was born in Peoria, IL on December 14, 1952.  Dan retired in 2021 after working as an Electrician and Crossword Extraordinaire for Caterpillar for nearly 50 years. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandpa.  Dan was a member of Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, IL.

Survived by his wife, Judy; Son, Austin (Ashley) Street; Daughters, Lisa (T.J.) Harrington, Lindsay (Troy) Endress, and Ashley Street; Grandkids, Avery, Eloise, and Josie Street, Collin, Nolan, Keegan, and Sydney Harrington, Izabelle, Tate, Brynn and Jase Endress; Brothers, David (Louise) Street, Gary (Carol) Street; Sister, Kathy (Richard) Wright; Special nieces and nephews, Jordan, Lindsay, David, and Andre Street and many other nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Velma and Jimmy Street, and two brothers, Robert Street and Phil Jeffers.

Memorial services followed by a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, IL at 10 a.m.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dan was affectionately known as Dan, Dad, Danny, Uncle Danny, Big Danny, Little Danny, Street, Daniel Lee, but his favorite was Grandpa Dan.  Dan's greatest joy was his grandkids.  He made every one of them feel like they were his favorite.  He loved spending time with them, watching them do what they love or just playing outside with them.  If he wasn't with his grandkids then you could probably find him out in his yard mowing, driving his beloved 1969 Camaro to a car show, watching his St. Louis Cardinals, singing and playing his guitar and piano, or eating moon pies.

Dan became a friend to everyone he met.  He told the best stories and you could always count on him to bring a smile to your face.  He touched so many lives throughout his lifetime, he will be missed by so many. He was simply the best.
