Obituary Daniel Mark Hootman, 23, of Washington, passed away at 12:13 am Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Minneapolis, MN. He was born November 9, 1992 in Peoria, IL to Mark S. and Carol J. Duguid Hootman. They both survive of Washington. Also surviving are his sister, Mary Kate Hootman of Washington, and several aunts, uncles and cousins who were very dear to him. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Daniel was a graduate of Washington Community High School. He received his associate degree from Illinois Central College and was currently pursuing his bachelor's degree at the University of Minnesota. He loved his family, dog Reggie, and spending time with his friends. Dan also enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, hiking and fishing. In college, Dan developed a love for learning and was interested in science, math and psychology. Memorial gifts may be made to the Washington High School Wrestling Team in Daniel's memory. A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. His funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday, November 18th at New Life Christian Church in Morton with Pastor's Josh Trueblood and Jason Morris officiating. Further visitation will be one hour prior to services, from 10 to 11 am Wednesday at the church.
