Obituary WASHINGTON--Daniel E. Gorman, 77, of Washington, died at 1:35 PM, on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was born on August 25, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois to Daniel Ralph and Laverne J. Fields Gorman. He married Carolyn J. Bamber on October 20, 1951 in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2007 in Peoria. Surviving are 2 daughters, Joyce (Ron) Ragain of East Peoria, IL, and Patricia L. (Rick) Streeter of Washington, IL; 1 granddaughter, Ashley Ragain of Pekin, IL; and 2 grandsons, Joshua Ragain of Mattoon, IL, and Rick Daniel Streeter of Washington, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Daniel served in the US Army, and was stationed in Germany following WWII. He worked as a union painter for 40 years, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A memorial visitation will be held from 10AM - 12 PM on Monday, November 12, 2007, at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Cremation rites will be accorded.
